Erasmo Martinez, 61, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 3, 2015. He graduated from F.H. Moody High School, then served in the U.S. Armed Forces and received an honorable discharge in 1981. He is preceded in death by his son, Luis Angel Martinez, his sister, Irene Pena. He leaves behind a son, Michael Martinez, and a daughter, Gabriella Martinez plus several grandkids. He is also survived by his parents, Mauricio and Elena Martinez, sister, Maria T. Reyna(Jesus)from Banquete,Tx.,brothers, Gilbert (Maria) Martinez, Mauro and Victor Martinez all of Corpus Christi, Tx., sister, Oralia Martinez of Austin, Tx. Honoring him as pallbearers will be his son, Michael Martinez, brothers, Mauro, Victor Martinez, nephews, Javier, James Reyna, friend, David Elizarde. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Guardian funeral home chapel A with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 noon Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic church, 2509 Nogales/MacArthur.
