Obituary
Ema S. Flores, 73, passed away August 11, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julia Morin Salazar and Cruz Salazar Jr.,three brothers, Felipe Morin Salazar, Richard Morin Salazar, Jose Morin Salazar, her son, Jose Luis (Big Joe) Flores, her grandson, Jose Flores.
Ema was a very strong woman, who truly enjoyed her role as a mother and grandmother. Never once did she miss a sporting event or activity; she was always present in her children and grandchildren's lives. She had a passion for life, always with a smile on her face and a joke on her lips. She was easy going, with a light heart who found happiness in bringing her family together. She loved to listen to all genres of music, especially oldies and tejano. Each member of the family always looked forward to being blessed with her singing on their birthday. Although she has left this earthly world, we rejoice that she is no longer in pain. Through each of her battles she remained steadfast in her faith; we smile today for we know she is in heaven.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra A. Flores, Tammy M. Flores (Cindy) Morales, Norma J. (Jason) Clark, two sons, Jose Maximiliano (JoeMax) Flores, Juan (Jessica Elizondo) Flores.
Fifteen grandchildren, Jennifer Pena, Nicholas (Natasha) Flores, Jose (Mariah) Flores, Emily (Alfredo) Callejo, Melissa (Cecilio) Zarate, Johndavid Flores, Joe MaxFlores, Alyxandra Flores (Javier Lopez), Monique Vela, Adrianna Vela (Jose Hernandez), Racquel Vela, Briana Flores (Christian Hernandez), Juan Jose (Rebecca) Flores, Jakob Andrew (Cryselda) Flores, Jianna Jesyka Flores.
Nineteen great-grandchildren, Brianna Pena, Dalilah Pena, Chase Flores, Kylie Flores, Carter Flores, Jose Flores II, Jonathan Flores, Yliana Flores, Julia Callejo, Richard Callejo, Jose Zarate, Julian Zarate, Savanah Erin Serrano, Jaelyn Flores, Jaithyn Lopez, Jaihley Lopez, Jairyk Lopez, Alex Martinez Jr., Kristopher Hernandez. One brother, Roman Morin (Guadalupe) Salazar and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends and family at Guardian funeral home chapel on Thursday, August 20, 2020 starting at 10:00 a.m., a Holy Rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m. Followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. at Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church
3210 S. Padre Island Drive, Corpus Christi,TX 78415. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery Park.
