Elodia G. Figueroa, 82, went home to be with the Lord on February 10, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arturo Figueroa, sisters, Leonor Garza, Benita Ramon, Margarita Juarez, brothers, Juan and Ezekiel Garza, her parents, Lino and Paula Garza.
She is survived by Brenda (Johnny) Hinojosa, Arturo Figueroa, Jr., Rene (Norma) Figueroa, Jessica Figueroa, eleven grandchildren and 12 1/2 great grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Guardian funeral home chapel A with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2015 at Most Precious Blood Catholic church, 3502 Saratoga. Burial will follow at the Coastal Bend State Veterans cemetery, 9974 Ih 37 access. Pallbearers will be Andrew, Arturo Figueroa, Johnny, Jonathon Hinojosa, Raul Lopez and Lorenzo Martinez, Honorary pallbearer is Jacob Figueroa
