With a feeling of sorrow, the family of Elma Guerra, age 77, announce her passing on the early morning of March 22, 2022. Elma was born February 6, 1945 in San Diego, Texas to her parents Alberto Olvera and Herminia Vera Villanueva.

Elma was a bright spirit who enjoyed a fulfilled life with God and a big family by her side. She graduated from W. B. Ray High School class of '66. She was retired from the Corpus Christi Independent School District Food Services from 1980 to 2000 with previous job(s) including Shoppers World 1966 to 1969. She never let a rough day stop her from enjoying her favorite daytime shows or leaving a funny comment on Facebook! She was a devoted Christian who was involved heavily in her church and community who had the gift of seeing the best in everyone. She had a nurturing spirit and ensured that everyone who was in her presence was cared for.

She is preceded in death by her brothers Robert Villanueva and Rueben Villanueva, and son-in-law Jaime A. Solis. She is survived by her husband Roldolfo P. Guerra, her children Lenda J. Guerra and Roldolfo Guerra Jr., her sisters Norma Balderas, Esther Garza, Janie Tolento (Ray Tolento), Lisa Moya, and brother Roland Villanueva (Rosanne Villanueva). Along with 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren whom she loved and cherished.

The service will take place Wednesday, March 30th with visitations starting at 9:00am to 12:00pm with services held at 11:00am at Guardian Funeral Home. A burial to follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00pm.

Serving as Pallbearers will be: Rudy R. Guerra, Noah A. Guerra, Zarin J. Guerra, Ruben A. Garcia, Gilbert Reyes, Erikk Garza. Honorary Pallbearers include: Roland Villanueva.
