Elida Luz Mendoza, 88 , passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, with her family by her side. Elida was born on September 1, 1935, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1955.

Elida was dedicated to her loving husband, Jose Guadalupe Mendoza, until his passing in 2003. He was the love of her life and they were married for 41 years.
Elida's calling was to serve others. She cared for many family members, and non-family members, throughout her life.
Elida was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan! She loved her Cowboys to the end!
She enjoyed being surrounded by her family and always being included in events and milestones. She was a very caring and loving person and her happiness showed in everything she did; dancing, singing, telling stories of her past, and many, many more beautiful moments in her life. Her last wish was to visit Guadalajara and she was able to make that journey last year despite her health.
