It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that the family of Eleazar "Ele" Curiel-Gonzalez must announce his passing. Ele was born on Thursday February 15, 1979. He passed into the hands of God on Wednesday June 10, 2020 at the young age of 41.

Those that met Ele were always left with a great impression, even if meeting only once. An avid cook, spiritual singer, beloved friend, Ele would bring smiles and light to any room that he walked in. Growing up, Ele always aspired to help people. His biggest goal was to be a Doctor or a Nurse, hence him striving and graduating from Moody High School with their medical program. He stayed true to his goal, despite having to temporarily stop to focus on his health.

During his spare time, Ele would experiment in the kitchen all the while binging some of his favorite movies (from rom-coms to horror) and TV shows, like Frazier and Golden Girls. His food was well a hit wherever he would go. From mole to chicken-n-dumplings and even his desserts, will be greatly missed. He loved animals to the point where he self-admitted to having "cat like tendencies." He also was a huge crafter. Ele would make things from necklaces to watchbands and everything in between. He loved to join his husband in watching shows at the local theatres, since that was where their relationship started. All of this and more along with the love that he had for his friends, his family, and his husband will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Ele is survived by his husband, Bobby Curiel-Gonzalez along with members of their family. His mother, Gloria Gonzalez. His brothers, Juan Gonzalez and Jose Ignacio Gonzalez (Lorena). His sister, Emma Longoria (Javier). His mother-in-law, Leticia Silvas (Jose). Father-in-law, Joe J. Curiel (Cris). Brother-in-laws, David Anthony Curiel (Erica) and Jon Michael Curiel (Romanda). He is also survived by 12 neices and nephews, 4 grand nieces and nephews, and 2 great grand niece and nephew. He is also survived by what he called his "fur kids" Eddy, Tazz, and Skotty.

Ele is predeceased by his father, Cuauhtemoc J. Gonzalez, and brother, Sergio Gonzalez.

Memorial services will be at Guardian Funeral Home. Viewing Tuesday June 16, 2020 4pm to 5pm for family, 5pm to 9pm for the public with service at 7pm by his friend and Pastor, Dana Warsham.

A Chapel service will be on Wednesday June 17, 2020 at 11:30am with burial procession to Rose Hill Cemetery at 1pm. (Viewing will also be available this day starting at 9am)
