Edward Michael Lopez, Jr. passed away on October 16, 2020 at the age of 31.
He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to his parents Edward Michael Lopez, Sr. and Sandra Alaniz Urrutia on July 21, 1989.

It is impossible to fully capture the happiness of which Eddie brought to the world. He had a generous heart that was full of love, always ready and willing to help anyone in need. He was a great father who always ensured that his children were well taken care of. His five children were his pride and joy. He had a great love for all genres of music, we will always remember his bright smile when his favorite songs came on the radio. Although he was quiet and reserved at times, his joy was found when he was surrounded by his friends and family. His heart was rooted in the presence of God and his faith gives us strength in these times of great sadness. Eddie's legacy of love will live in our hearts for generations to come.

He joins now in heaven his maternal : great-grandmother Ascension S. Tagle; grandfather Gabino O. Alaniz, step-grandfather Jose A. Morales, Jr.; aunt Maria E. Trevino and uncle Federico Tagle; paternal : grandfather Paul Avalos, great grandmother Eulalia A Rodriguez, uncles: Pete Dominguez, Gilbert Dominguez and aunt: Dianne R Jaenke.

Eddie leaves behind to cherish his memories, five children: Edward Gabino, Jacob, Josiah, Jordan, and Jayden; mother: Sandra (Delfino) Urrutia; father: Edward (Candace) Lopez, Sr.; significant other: Savannah Martinez; maternal grandmother: Guadalupe T. Morales; paternal grandmother: Yolanda (Dario) Ortiz; aunts and uncles: Annette Ortiz (Michael Rodriguez), Michelle (Bobby) Sanchez, Monette (Manuel) Rodriguez, Veronica (James) Vasquez, Jose A. (Melissa) Morales, III, Gloria Morales (Abel Cerda) and Michael Morales; along with numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins whom he loved.

Public Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2020 at Guardian Funeral Home, Chapel A, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that evening.
