Edward "Eddie" H. Cruz
Corpus Christ , TX
Eddie Cruz, 72, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 18, 2016. His untimely death has left emptiness and shock in the hearts of his family and friends, but faith in God is helping to mourn his passing.
He was born in Corpus Christi to Rosendo and Macaria Cruz on February 16, 1943. He attended local schools and graduated from Roy Miller High School and Del Mar College. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1962.
He met Judy, the love of his life at a dance at Exposition Hall on Valentines' Day, 1962 and married her on February 24, 1963.
Nothing made him happier than spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and playing golf with his sons-in- law and friends. Eddie and Judy loved and enjoyed going dancing, traveling, and socializing with their friends. He was employed at Corpus Christi Caller-Times Circulation Department for 20 years where he managed the city's Southside retail distribution. He was also employed as an investigator for several local law firms and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, where he retired in 2007.
