Eduvina Perez Martinez passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020 at the age of 84.

Eduvina P Martinez was preceded in death by her mother Irene V Perez and her father Cristobal Perez. Her sister in law, Gracie Saenz Perez will also be receiving her.

She is survived by two brothers, Cristobal (Irma) Perez and Jose Roel "Roddy" Perez. All of Corpus Christi, Texas.
Eduvina has four children, Javier Omar Martinez, Imelda (Rick) Barrera, Jaime Orlando Martinez and Iris (Scott) Martinez Simmons.
She also has eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. They are Pamela Carrillo, Georgia Martinez, Roberto Mario Carrillo II, Gina Martinez Trotter, Javier Martinez, Gianna Martinez, Kaleigh Martinez and Analicia Martinez. And his great grandchildren are Stella Carrillo, Roman Mario Carrillo, Isabel London Carrillo, Eva Lynn Carrillo, Kensie Kahn, and Servando Walker IV.

Eduvina aka "Duvie"; affectionately know as "Nanny", was born in Kingsville, Texas but the family moved to Corpus Christi, Texas shortly after her birth. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and then attended Roy Miller High School, Class of 1954. Right after graduation Eduvina married Oscar Martinez.

Eduvina worked 45 years with Wolfson Furniture Company and retired when she was 82. Mr. and Mrs. Wolfson and all the Wolfson children were very kind to our mother up until her passing. We are family!

Eduvina was a kind, sweet and funny lady. She embodied the essence of elegance. She also enjoyed dancing, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

A huge thank you to the staff at Cimarron Place and Harbor Hospice. The nurses and CNA's spent countless hours with her. They are our Heroes!!

A visitation and rosary will be celebrated on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 10:00 am at Guardian Funeral Home.

A mass will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 11:00 am at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church.

The interment of ashes will be held next Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Memory Gardens time will be provided when available.
