Eduardo Malpica Rivera was born on October 13, 1971 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico he grew up in a small town called Vega Alta in a neighborhood of Bajura. Eduardo gained his wings while visiting his family on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 49 years of age. From a young age, Eduardo had been mesmerized by the strength and conditioning world.

Eduardo attended The University of Puerto Rico in Arecibo as a student athlete on the Pre-med program and 3 sports; shot put, discus throw and Olympic style weightlifting. In 1990, Eduardo started his personal training/strength coach career, working alongside some of the coaches of the University to help correct imbalances with the athletes. Eduardo finished at the University with a B.S. in Microbiology and minor degrees in Chemistry and Psychology after completing the Pre-Med curriculum.

Upon relocating to Corpus Christi, Texas in 1997, Eduardo dedicated himself to the community as a fitness coach and personal trainer, co-owning Corpus Christi Crossfit, the first Crossfit gym in the Corpus Christi area. Ever passionate about helping his clients live a healthy and active lifestyle, Eduardo built many strong friendships among his client base. Eduardo cared for every person he came in contact with; motivating them, counseling them and giving them a shoulder to cry on.

Eduardo's legacy will be continuing to live in many lives that he touched; his purpose in life. Eduardo's philosophy was "Life is too short to be average. Always strive for the very best you can be, and remember to have fun." DYMA 777. Psalms 91.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela De La Fuente, of Corpus Christi and many family members in Puerto Rico, including Teresa Rivera Gonzalez, mother; Maria Teresa Malpica Rivera (Maite) and Lina Margarita Malpica Rivera, sisters; six nieces, nine nephew, two great-nieces, and three great-nephews.

A remembrance of his life will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Padre Balli Park Pavilion, 15820 Park Rd 22, Corpus Christi, TX 78418 at 6:30pm with a bonfire following at 8:30 pm on Padre Beach.
