Edna Eugenia "Jeannie" Lanier (Smith), June 10, 1948 – December 20, 2022

Jeannie,74, passed away suddenly at her home in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born in Pecos, Texas to Harold and Edna (Corley) Smith and attended schools in Wilson and Tahoka, Texas. Jeannie was married to Roy E. Stice, the father of her 4 children.

Jeannie was a daughter, sister, cousin, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and dear friend to many. She was also a retired nurse and nursing instructor who had many interests including gardening, sewing, watching her beloved Cowboys, cooking, playing the piano and doing things for others. She always had a smile on her face, a positive attitude, and an infectious laugh. She was very patriotic and loved her country, loved Texas and loved the Cracker Barrel, in that order. There will never be another Jeannie, she loved and encouraged everyone. She was very close to her sisters and cousins. Along with spending time with Jesus, her greatest pleasures in life were going to church and spending time with friends and family.

Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents (Harold and Edna) and her baby sister, Toby.

Jeannie is survived by her sisters Nanette (Jeff-deceased) and Tresa (Leon), daughter Candy (Ross), sons Wylie (Angie), Cody (Kris), and Chris, grandchildren: Brandi (Gilbert), Ashley (Isaiah), Hanna, McKenzie, TJ, Sophie (Glen), Ian (Christine), Toby (Joe) and great grandchildren: Noah, Ellie, Bella, Bradley (Brandi & Gilbert's children), Makayla, Hailey (Ashley & Isaiah's children), numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Jeannie's Celebration of Life will be held in Waco, Texas on January 5, 2023, at 11am at Antioch Church, Pastor Steve Findley officiating. Interment at Tahoka Cemetery, Tahoka Texas, April 2023.
