Edmund "Ed" "BigE" Garza, born August 13, 1960 in Corpus Christi, Texas passed away Friday, January 13, 2023. He is preceded in death by his daughter Ericca Lee Garza; his parents Eulalio "Daddio" A. Garza Jr., and Aurora "Mimi" Garza; and his siblings Edward Garza (Theresa), Elida Rivera, and Eulalio Garza Jr.

Ed is survived by his dedicated wife Elsa Garza, children Elissa A. Molini (Dave) & EJ Garza (Lala), and granddaughter Ensley N. Garza. Ed is also survived by sisters Esperanza Ledesma (Ruben), Eva Adams, and Elizabeth Smith as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Edmund was a Miller High School graduate, class of 1978 and married Elsa in 1980. Mr. Garza was a business owner, sports coach, professional driving instructor, street fighter, self-taught auto-mechanic, Spurs basketball fan, casino gambler and story teller. Big E was passionate about helping anyone in need and was a father-figure/mentor to several of his son's friends from the neighborhood. Ed was great at dancing, cooking bar-b-que, learning new technology and interstate driving.

A special ceremony to lay Edmund at rest will take place graveside at Rose Hill Memorial Park Thursday, January 19, 2023 promptly at 1:00 p.m.
