It is with great sadness that the family of Eaul A. Lewis, Jr. announce his unexpected passing at the age of 61 on Monday evening June 14, 2021.
Eaul was born at Huntsville, Alabama on February 1, 1960 into a Military family. He spent his childhood traveling the world to include multiple states such as Texas, Louisiana, and Florida he also lived overseas in Germany as a military dependent. Eaul graduated from Mansfield High School LA class of 1978. Following graduation, he enlisted in to the United States Navy in which he dedicated 20 years of service to our country. He retired in Corpus Christi Texas in 1998. After retiring from the Navy he continued to support the warfighter by procuring employment as a contractor and his current position as a Federal employee at Corpus Christi Army Depot. Eaul was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed being outside sipping on Bud Light Chelada after a hard day at work. He loved time with his grandchildren, tending to his lawn, fishing, telling stories, and listening to music.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Aurora M. Lewis, of 32 years; his son and daughters, Eaul A. Lewis III of Waukegan, Illinois, Cindy Brewer of Corpus Christi TX, Rosieann and husband Shane Burlingame of Corpus Christi TX; his grandchildren, Aliyah Burlingame, Devin Allen Burlingame, Mark Corona II, Jisselle Moran, and Daneryss Moran and Camila Lewis; his brother, Glen and wife Mimi Lewis; his sisters, Sharon Lewis Sims and Doreen E. Leland; His nieces Heaven Lewis, Amy Muir, and Melissa Abbott; nephew Glen Lewis Jr.; and great niece, Aislyn Abbott. He is preceeded in death by his father, Eaul Allen Lewis Sr.; and mother Margie Lewis.
The service of remembrance will be held at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 I-37, Corpus Christi TX 78410 on Monday, June 21st 2021 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow at Guardian Hall, 5813 Ayers St. Corpus Christi, TX 78415.
