Dorris Jo (Jody) Prince, 81 of Corpus Christi, Texas, peacefully passed away at her home on September 16, 2025.  She was born on August 25, 1944, and was raised with love by her parents, Jake and Doris Ross, alongside her sisters, Janet and Kathy.

Jody dedicated her life to her family.  She was a loving mother to her four sons, grandmother to six grandsons, and great-grandmother to three great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters, and an aunt to three nephews and one niece.

Her favorite job was being a mother to her four sons, whom she raised while living on Chapman Ranch. She welcomed her sons' friends into her home and treated them as her own.

A favorite memory we have of her was during crop harvesting season, she always made homemade Mexican food and lovingly delivered it to the fields.  This simple yet cherished tradition reflected the way she lived – always giving, always caring, and always putting family first.  Everyone loved her homemade Spanish rice, "Emma" beans, and flour tortillas.

Jody spent her entire life in the Corpus Christi area, where she built a life full of love, strength, and devotion.  She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her, but her memory and legacy will continue to live on in the lives she touched.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Janet Trammell.

Jody is survived by her four sons, Jon W (Ann) Prince of Laramie, Wyoming, Jeff Prince of Chapman Ranch, Texas, Bon Prince of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Cooper (Candice) Prince of Friendswood, Texas. She has six grandsons, three great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters, her sister (Kathy Hooge), three nephews, and one niece.
