It is with much sadness that the family of Dorrie Ann Ivey, a loving mother and sister passed away on May 9, 2022 after a brief illness, but we are comforted knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior in the beautiful kingdom of heaven.

Dorrie knew no stranger, her heart was open to everyone. She enjoyed her Bible studies and the wonderful friends from her church. Everyone called her mom.

She was preceded in death by her father James King and mother and father Doris and Earl Shadle.

She is survived by her son Kenneth Smith of Corpus Christi; daughters: Paula Smith of Corpus Christi, and Judy Alcott of Bellevue, Kentucky; her sisters: Juanda Kruger of Corpus Christi, Gayle Starry of Dallas Texas, Janice Dwigans of Corpus Christi, Jean (Richard) Taylor of Robstown, Earl Shadle of Corpus Christi, Sandy (Dave) Melton in Florida; her grandchildren: Courtney Chavez of Rockport, Nina Yellets of Oklahoma, Bradley, Allison and Diamond of Kentucky, and most of all her beloved great grandson Milo of Kentucky.
