Dora Elia Diaz Garza, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 73. Born on September 23, 1952, in Taft, Texas, Dora was the cherished daughter of Gilberto and Matilde Diaz, who have both preceded her in death.
Dora's life was filled with love, joy, and an unwavering faith in the Lord. Known for her bright spirit, she radiated warmth and kindness to all who crossed her path. Her greatest gift was her unconditional love, which she extended to everyone she met. Strong, loyal, and faithful, Dora's character shone brightly, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her family and friends.
Surviving Family
She is survived by her loving children: son Luis Saldivar (Melissa Harrison), daughters Mary Lou Ochoa and Linda Andrade (Jeremy Andrade), and sons Rey Molina-Esteves (Cesar Molina-Esteves) and Michael Saldivar. Dora's legacy continues with her cherished grandchildren: Jerica, Priscilla, and David Saldivar; Daniel Luna; Alexis Villarreal; Isabella Flores; Yvette Davila; Tiffany Martinez; Phillip Martinez; and Thomas Martinez. Additionally, she was blessed with 14 great-grandchildren, each bringing immense joy into her life.
Preceded in Death By
Dora was preceded in death by her two beloved sisters, Florisa and Oralia Gonzales. She is also survived by her eight siblings: Guadalupe, Rosa, Gilbert, Irene, Connie, Joe, Esther, and Israel, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts.
Personal Life and Interests
In her daily life, Dora found enormous joy in dancing, often expressing her faith through movement to Christian music. Her love for God was evident, and she dedicated her life to nurturing her family and creating precious memories filled with laughter. An ardent fan of Elvis Presley, she enjoyed singing and dancing to his timeless music, bringing a sense of joy and nostalgia to those around her.
Final Years
Dora's final years were marked by her battle with Alzheimer's disease, a journey made more bearable by the love and support of her family. The family would like to extend special thanks to her son-in-law, Jeremy Andrade, whose unwavering support and love provided comfort and happiness to Dora during her final days. They would also like to express heartfelt gratitude to Melissa Harrison, Jeff Gutierrez, and Cesar Molina-Esteves, who cherished her as a mother figure and filled her days with companionship, laughter, and smiles.
