IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donavan Jordan
Encinia
September 24, 2007 – February 16, 2026
Donavan Jordan Encinia- son, proud big brother, uncle, cousin, cherished brother in Christ and friend to so many went home to be with the Lord on February 16, 2026. Donavan's untimely passing has left behind heavy hearts here on Earth but reach for comfort in the Lord. Donavan was born September 24, 2007 in Corpus Christi, Texas and made it his proud hometown.
Donavan is the cherished son of Amanda and Anthony Melchor, and he was enveloped in love by his grandparents, Benito and Maria Encinia. His life was filled with laughter and camaraderie of his brothers, JD, Paul, and Maverick whom he affectionately called Bubba and Anthony Jr.; his sisters Lorene, Kaylee, Arianna, Paisley, Ariel, and Acelynn along with other siblings. His extended family included his uncles, Benito III (Monica), Daniel (Daniela), and Enrique (Gedies), along with his caring aunts Cari (daughters Lilianna and Leighlani) and Andrea (Hayle). Donavan's role as a proud uncle to Mateo, Andrea, Dominic, and Jesse was one he embraced with all his heart.
A young man of faith, Donavan's Christian beliefs were the cornerstone of his existence. He lived his life as a reflection of his faith, spreading kindness and friendship wherever he went. His love for music was profound, as it allowed him to express his emotions and thoughts in a way words alone could not capture. Donavan's passion for football was evident to all who watched him play for the CCFYL Broncos, proudly donning the number 28 jersey.
Donavan's style was unmistakable, with a particular fondness for Polo and Jordan brands, and his favorite colors, black and red, were often a part of his daily attire. His joker smile, stretching from ear to ear, was infectious and could light up any room. He was the life of the party, always inviting friends to join him in his adventures, especially to church, where he found great joy in fellowship.
Donavan enjoyed the virtual worlds of his PS5 playing for hours with his friends laughing, shouting then laughing even harder. From football, gaming and church his greatest pleasure was found in his family, especially caring for his younger siblings. His love for his younger siblings was boundless, and he often stepped into the role of protector and playmate, creating an unbreakable bond with his mini best friends.
Turning 18 did not diminish Donavan's playful spirit. He remained a child at heart, with a protective instinct that endeared him to all. His friends and family will remember him as a faith-filled, friendly young man whose presence was a gift to those who knew him.
Though preceded in death by his great-grandparents Roel and Andrea Ortegon and Benito V. Encinia Sr., Donavan's legacy of love, laughter, and his big friendly smile will continue to live on with cherished memories. Today, we honor a life that, though brief, was filled with moments that will forever be in our hearts. Donavan Jordan Encinia will be deeply missed.
Donavan's family respectfully request that anyone attending his funeral service please do not wear the color red. Donavan's family thanks you for your love and support regarding this request.
