Donald Eugene Bradley, 83, beloved husband, father, grandpa, great grandpa, papa, uncle, passed away on October 21, 2014 with his wife and daughter holding his hands. He was born September 10, 1931 in Clinton, Missouri. He moved to Corpus Christi, Texas as a teenager and graduated from Corpus Christi High in 1950. He was a U. S. Marine veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Reynolds Metal Sherwin Plant for over 40 years. He loved traveling around the U. S. and abroad with his wife. When he talked of his travels, he talked about the places they ate more than where they went. He enjoyed golf and bowling when he was younger. He loved reading a good book and working in his yard.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, his brother, a niece, Judy Mulzman and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Alice Mae; three children James (Carmen), Ernest (Deborah), and Deborah (Jim) Jobe; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and his beloved niece Petey (Larry) Wade, who was like a daughter to him, numerous nieces, nephews, friends and his two Pomeranians, Pia Boy and Nicky. His favorite saying, repeated time and again with a big grin and a twinkle in his eye was "All you need to go right to sleep and sleep like a baby is a clear conscious and a pure heart". He said that was why he slept so well. We'll all miss the twinkle in his eyes and his laughter so much. He loved a good joke.
Funeral precession will depart Guardian Funeral Home on April 17th at 1:30 with services following at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00.
