On September 2nd, Dolores Villarreal (De La Garza) passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family. She was 84 years old, and a lifelong resident of Corpus Christi.
Dolores was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. As a military spouse, she was able to travel and temporarily live in different places such as California, Florida, & Japan. Dolores eventually settled down in her hometown to raise her family. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Dolores is remembered for her beautiful smile and her kind heart.

She is preceded in death by her husband Eliberto Villarreal Jr., her parents Matias & Florinda De La Garza, & her brother Matias De La Garza.

Dolores is survived by her three children: Eliberto Villarreal III (Annabell), Guadalupe Chapa (Rey), Cristina Cortinas (Chris), nine grandchildren, her twin sister Delfina Martinez, her sister Lupe Valverde, her brother Arturo De La Garza, & nine nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 11th from 9-12pm with a Chapel Service to begin at 12pm . A Formal Funeral Procession will be departing at 1:15pm to go to the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery for a 2pm Burial .
