Dolores H. Martinez passed away on April 8, 2024. Born in Sinton, Texas, she found her home in Corpus Christi, Texas. Known affectionately as Dee and Tia Lolis to her family and friends, she left behind a legacy cherished by many.

Preceded in death by her parents, Andres and Marcelina Hernandez, her sister Josephina Garcia, brother Jesus G. Hernandez, sister Criselda G. Hernandez, and her son Roland Maldonado, Dolores leaves behind her husband, Enrique Martinez, stepdaughters Soraya (Brad) Everitt, Gloria (Hector) Bernal, stepson Enrique Jr (Rosa) Martinez, and sister Oralia Sanchez (Eduardo), along with numerous nephews and nieces.

Dolores graduated from Sinton High School and pursued her education at Texas A&I University before earning her Nursing Degree from Del Mar College. Her nursing career was marked by dedication and compassion. She began in the ER at Memorial Medical Center before transitioning to Spohn Hospital for Specials and Radiology. Eventually, she found her calling in hospice care, working for Spohn Hospice and later as a case manager until her retirement.

Throughout her life, Dolores was not only a caregiver to her family but also to countless patients under her care. Her professionalism and kindness endeared her to colleagues and patients alike. Her family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff who provided expert care during her time in the hospital. Dolores's memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Public visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Guardian funeral home chapel ''B" with a Holy rosary to be recited at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest cemetery 9129 U.S. Hwy 77 Bus. in Sinton, Texas.
