On June 22, 2026, our beloved son, brother, funcle, cousin, and friend, Dionicio Salazar III, better known as Nick, went home to be with our Lord. He was a bright light & a steady currant in the lives of so many and he will now shine down on us until we meet with him again in heaven. His bold quiet presence impacted us all and though we must now walk this earth without his physical presence, he will continue to be the calm running through us all from above.

Nick was born in Corpus Christi Tx on May 24, 1978. He is survived by his parents Dionicio and Emma Salazar Jr., sister Marisol (Israel Ike) Montez, brother Damian Salazar (Crystal Suarez), nephews, who he fondly referred to as his “row dogs”, Israel Anthony Montez, Isaac Rene Montez, Jaydrenn Rey Saucedo, and Davian Jordan Salazar.

Nick was preceded in death by his beloved Peanut, Jacobo Fernandez; his paternal grandparents, Dionicio and Petra Salazar Sr.; and maternal grandparents Alberto and Olga Peña.

In accordance with Nick’s wishes, no formal services will be held. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date, where family and friends can gather to honor the incredible man he was and the lasting impact he made on all of our lives.
