Obituary

Diana Andrade Fulton of Corpus Christi, TX, went home to our Lord, on January 8, 2020 at the age of 67. She was an extraordinary woman, strong in her faith, tenacious and eager to learn, with a captivating laugh and the most amazing ability to make you feel like the center of attention. Diana woke every morning with gratitude in her heart and shared that optimism with all. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and a friend to many.

Diana was born on October 11, 1952, in Corpus Christi, TX to Alfred Sosa & Noemi (Cantu) Andrade. At 17, eager to strike out on her own she entered the work force starting at the newly opened Whataburger chain in Dallas. She took on every task and worked her way up. This was to be her work ethic for life. Her work career took her from the retail industry as a clerical assistant, to small local salons as a hairdresser, to driving a school bus and elementary school crossing guard, to caring for the elderly as a home provider. A member of Solid Rock Church, she served the Lord spreading his word with her time and talents.

Diana loved spending time with her husband and family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid dessert baker and her Lemon Meringue pies were legendary. The numerous photos over the years told a story of life and travel across the United States and Europe to Spain, France and Germany. She had a passion for gardening and enjoyed sports, music, dancing, scratch-off lotto tickets and late-night card playing with her brothers and friends.

Left to honor and remember her love is her husband Jerry, daughter April (Paul) Georges, her grandchildren, Angelica and Roel; her sister Mary (Jose)Garcia, her brothers Dan (Ester) Andrade, Robert (Dolly) Andrade, George (Cathy) Andrade, Martin (Illia) Andrade, Ronald (Susan) Andrade and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Alfred S. & Noemi Andrade, her sister, Yolanda L. Pena, niece Jennifer Rocha and a son, Jason T. Georges.

Visitation and Funeral Service for family and friends will be from 5-9 pm on Monday, January 13, 2020, at Guardian Funeral Home and Cremation 5922 Crosstown Access Road.
