Denise Joann Spiro (Wilson), 60, of Corpus Christi, TX, passed away on September 13, 2021, with her best friend and husband, Mike Spiro, at her side. Denise was born on February 3, 1961, in Stockton, California to William and Donna Griffitt.

Denise grew up and graduated in Stockton and began a lifetime of making an impression on everyone who had the pleasure to meet her. Besides her obvious beauty on the outside, it was what she had inside that made her even more beautiful. She had a heart the size of Texas, and would do anything to help a friend, or anyone in need, for that matter. Her personality sparkled everywhere she went and made her outstanding in her 35 plus year career as the best bartender in her area.

Denise was very strong, determined, and motivated, putting her children's welfare above all else, sometimes against tough circumstances. She deserved, and was able to enjoy, the last several years of her life being able to relax, travel, and move to the beautiful city of Corpus Christi where she and her husband achieved their dream of the relaxing beach life. Denise had a lasting impact on everyone in her life, and as most have just a few close friends, with her sense of humor, fun & wisecracking nature, dedication, concern and love for her friends and family, she has more real friends than be counted.

Denise is survived by her father: William Griffitt; her husband: Mike Spiro; her daughter: Malissa Perez; grandchildren: Ariana Foster, Hector Perez, Jr., Mateo Perez, William Sarafini; brothers: Dennis Griffitt and John Griffitt; several cousins; too many friends to count; and one late addition who just missed his Great-Grandma by 5 days, Legend Jacob Vega.

Denise is preceded by her mother: Donna Griffitt; her son Jake Wilson; and several aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Denise had a strong faith in Jesus Christ, and we smile in the reunions she is having, as we also miss someone who is absolutely irreplaceable.

Celebration of Life for Denise will be held at Koe's, 10200 N. Highway 99 Stockton, CA 95212 on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 11:00 am.
