IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Debbie Rodriguez
Gaona
November 12, 1964 – October 13, 2025
Debbie Gaona, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away surrounded by love. Debbie's warm heart and generous spirit left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Debbie graduated from Mary Carroll High School in 1983. She worked at H-E-B for 16 years, where she was known for her strong work ethic, bright smile, and caring heart. She later continued her career at First Commerce Bank, where she built lasting relationships with coworkers and customers who quickly became friends.
Debbie loved playing softball as a kid, BBQing, being a mom, spending time with friends and family, going to local pro wrestling events, and making everyone around her feel welcome. She never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off her back—even when she didn't have one to give. Her warmth and selflessness were unmatched, and her joy for life was contagious.
She is survived by her loving parents, Jose and Maria "Cuca" Gaona; her brothers, David and Danny Gaona; her beloved daughter, Lisa Gaona Jarrard and husband Josh; and grandson, Tyler Jarrard. She is also survived by her niece and nephew, Kathryn Gaona and Jacob Gaona (Nicole), 5 great nieces and nephews, and 1 great-great nephew.
Debbie will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her generous heart, boundless love, and the laughter she shared so freely. Her kindness, generosity, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those she knew.
A celebration of Debbie's life will be held at The Guardian Funeral Home on November 8, 2025 from 11am-2pm, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share the stories that made her so special. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 12:30pm
