David Gonzales, 42, of Corpus Christi, Texas was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on February 10, 2013 due to a long-term illness. The son of Linda Constancio and Ignacio Gonzalez Sr. was born in Plainview, Texas on May 25, 1970. He was a graduate of Lubbock High School and served in the National Guard in the early 90's as an NBC Specialist and was a member of The American Legion.
David worked as a high voltage, relay field service technician. He received a Certificate of Completion from the Weatherford College Fire Academy as an industrial fire fighter. He was also a Certified Infrared Specialist. David loved to play golf and was an avid sports fan.
He was preceded in death by his mother Linda Constancio, a brother Raymond Gonzalez, and a nephew Daniel Gonzalez.
David is survived by his loving wife, Corina Gonzales and three adoring daughters. Ashley Gonzales, Monica Gonzales, and Elizabeth Gonzales. His Father Ignacio Gonzalez Sr. and (step-mother Cynthia Gonzalez) of Livingston, Texas. Brothers Ignacio Gonzalez Jr. and Luis Gonzales Sr. both of Lubbock, Texas. A sister, Sylvia Cortez also of Lubbock, and a brother Clifford Gonzalez of Houston.
Funeral services will be held at Guardian Funeral home with Pastor Glenn Holland officiating. 5922 Crosstown, S.H. 286, Corpus Christi, Texas 78417. Services will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. with a special closed casket visitation at 5:30 p.m.
A Reception will be held following the services at the Guardian Hall 5813 Ayers St./Carolyn.
