David R. Garcia Jr. a.k.a. "Ketchup", 52 Born and raised in Corpus Christi Texas. David past Thursday evening January 9, 2020 surrounded by family and friends. David is survived by his only son David Garcia, Mother Oralia R. Anderson (Eugene) ,Life Partner Martha Cavazos who provided love and care for him through his final years, stepdaughter Julia Montez, sisters Sarah Anderson (Dustin), Norma Jean Atwood (Timothy) granddaughter Elaina Lorraine Garcia, grandson Jadan Gotti Canals and many more grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved friends. He is preceded in death by his father, David Arredondo Garcia Sr.(1977) , grandfather George Rodriguez Sr.(1977), grandfather Jose M. Garcia (1969), grandmother Camilla A. Garcia (2019). David was born in Corpus Christi Texas to Oralia Rodriguez, and David Garcia Sr. At a whopping 6lbs at Memorial Hospital on November 22, 1967. An Astros baseball fan, he also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Texans. His past time was having a good time with friends, but mostly being a comedian. He will be remembered by his big Kool-Aid smile, and contagious laughter, which became his trademark. David made friends easily and was enjoyable to be around, life of the party. David will be dearly, sadly missed by those who loved him. Throughout the last 14 months of his life, he battled colon cancer and try to work as much as physically possible until his battle was defeated. Heaven now welcome to new angel and David's exhausted body will finally be at rest and Freed of pain. Please continue to pray for his family especially his son David who will truly miss his dad. God bless all who knew David, you too were truly blessed to have been a part of his life. Visitation will be held on Friday January 17, 2020 at 5pm-9pm with the holy rosary to be recited at 7pm.
