David Gamez passed away on June 18, 2025 at the age of 71. He passed away at home with his family present. David was born in Corpus Christi, Tx on November 2, 1953 to Pedro R. Gamez and Beatrice Gonzalez.

David graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1972. He was a hard worker, working many physically demanding jobs, such as construction and maintenance. He also worked as an Equipment Operator for Nueces County until his retirement in March of 2024. David enjoyed spending time with his daughter, his son-in-law and his grandson by going to the beach, parks, and taking trips.

He is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Gamez, his daughter Rachel Gamez, his parents Pedro and Beatrice Gamez, his brothers Raul Gamez and Juan Gamez, and his sister Asanet Gamez.

David is survived by his daughter Annette Gamez (Michael Williamson), his grandson David Williamson, brothers Pedro Gamez, Gerardo Gamez, and Raymond Gamez, his sisters Maria Dominguez, Graciela Gamez, Gloria (Robert) Ramos, Lydia Gamez, Alicia (Hector) Plata, and Evelina Gamez, all of Corpus Christi, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He will be missed tremendously.
