Darlene Loessin Starry, born June 28, 1948, in Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, at the age of 77. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Darlene will be remembered for her generous spirit, her boundless compassion, and the warmth she shared with everyone who crossed her path.

Born to Raymond and Pearl Loessin, Darlene grew up in a lively and loving home alongside her siblings — Gaynell, Pasty, Dwayne, and Shorty. Throughout her life, she carried the values her parents instilled in her: kindness, strength, and an unwavering love for family.

Darlene was the proud mother of two children, Jeff and Heather, who were the lights of her life. She was blessed with three grandchildren — Latoya, Alicia, and Gabriel — and later welcomed six great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

In 2003, Darlene fulfilled her calling by opening a group home for the elderly. Through this work, she created a safe, loving environment for countless residents, offering care, dignity, and comfort to families in need. Her heart for service made a difference in the lives of many, and her legacy of compassion will continue through the people she touched.

Darlene was known for her beautiful soul, her gentle guidance, and her constant reminder to those she loved: "Be careful." It was her way of showing she cared — a simple phrase that held all the love in the world.

She will be deeply missed by her family, her friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
