Darcie Rae Hudgens, passed away February 12, 2020 after a difficult battle with metastatic breast cancer at the age of 50. Darcie Hudgens (maiden name Davis) was born February 4, 1970 in Corpus Christi, TX to her parents Cleveland and Phyllis Davis. She was a loving and caring mother and wife. Darcie was very humble always making herself available to Family, Friends, Teachers and Students.

She was preceded in death by her father, Cleveland Davis. Darcie and Bill were high school sweethearts and married in 1991. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Bill Hudgens, two sons, Rob Hudgens (26) and Brad Hudgens (24); her mother, Phyllis Dawson; Sisters, Tracie Barrett (her identical twin), and Rena Rittgers, two brothers, Michael Davis and  Don Yocum. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and MANY friends. She graduated from High School in 1988 and continued her education at Del Mar College. Thereafter she received her Bachelor's in education at A&M CC in 2004.  She taught at Smith Elementary School for 15 years and was like a counselor, mother, and friend to her current and past students. Teaching was her passion and saw the potential of each and every student.

Darcie made a big difference in hundreds of her students' lives. She followed her mother's example by caring, loving and sacrificing for us.  She always united our family together during life's challenges. She will be dearly missed by all.

A celebration of Darcie's life will be on Saturday, February 22 @ 1:00 pm at Grace Community Church at 1514 Flour Bluff Drive Corpus Christi Texas 78418.
