Obituary

Dannylee Villereal Weikel, 86, of Robstown, Texas, passed away on August 18, 2026, in Robstown. She was born on April 12, 1940, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Mrs. Weikel was a woman whose life was deeply rooted in home and family. Her strong Catholic faith guided her in her how she loved people and how she lived her life. A proud homemaker, she devoted herself to creating a place of welcome, comfort, and lasting connection for those around her. Her beloved home, where she lived for more than 50 years, stood as the center of that devotion. There, she held down the hearth with pride, raising her family and welcoming each new generation with open arms.

Dannylee loved working around her house and in her garden. She took joy in entertaining and in showing people her home, a place that reflected her care and the life she built. Home was not simply where she lived; it was where she expressed her love most fully. Everyone knew they had a place to return to there, with her waiting to receive them.

She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved with all of her soul. Her family remained at the heart of her life. She raised her family of five children and continued to nurture and love the grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren who came after. Those who knew her will remember the warmth of her presence, the welcome of her home, and the way her piercing blue eyes reflected how deeply she loved. She saw beauty in the world and spoke in constant wonderment of the ever-expanding landscape around her.

She is survived by her children, Frankie Weikel, Joey Weikel, and Angel Weikel; her grandsons, Jacob Weikel, Benjamin Weikel, Joshua Weikel, Garrett Weikel, Shane Weikel, Zach Weikel, Nicolas Weikel, Hunter Weikel, and Dalton Gibbons; her granddaughter, Jocelyn Dunn; her sisters, Carol, Sylvia and Pauline; and her brothers, Daniel, Charles and Christopher. She was preceded in death by her sons, William Weikel and Francis Weikel, and by her grandson, Christian Weikel.

Dannylee Villereal Weikel will be remembered for the home she kept, the family she raised, and the enduring love she gave so freely across generations. Her life was one of steadfast care, quiet devotion, and deep pride in the family and home she cherished.

Her memory will remain a lasting part of all who were welcomed into her life and her home.
