Daniel Maahs, was a lovely soul called to be with the lord on August 6, 2017. He served as an assistant pastor to New Hope Covenant Church was a member of the Texas State Guard, Reserve Sheriff Deputy, and Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was involved in a Motorcycle ministry & a volunteer Chaplin at the Juvenile Dention Center. He is survived by his family, Evelyn Garrett, Frank Fries, Alan Fries and Thomas Maahs. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Kathy Maahs. Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2017 at New Hope Covenant Church 5354 Kostoryz Rd. He was a honorable man of God and a faithful friend. Many lives were touched by his love and boldness in Christ. He will be missed.
