In Loving Memory of Daniel Guevara
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Guevara, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who departed this world on December 12, 2025, in his hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on December 20, 1969, Daniel lived a life full of love, laughter, and service to others, leaving behind a rich legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him. He was 55 years old at the time of his passing.
Daniel was the son of Jesus Guevara Sr. and the late Eva G. Guevara. He grew up surrounded by the warmth of family in Corpus Christi, and he was deeply influenced by the values instilled in him by his loving parents, including his grandparents, Robert Garcia Sr., Amelia Garcia, Porfilio Guevara Sr., and Hortencia Guevara, who predeceased him. Daniel's family was his cornerstone, and he carried their lessons of love, kindness, and strength throughout his life.
Daniel was a proud graduate of West Oso High School, Class of 1988, where he laid the foundation for a life dedicated to hard work and service. Over the years, he carved out a meaningful career, spending 12 years as a wrecker driver and another 12 years as a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) technician. For the last five years, he was a valued partner at Lone Star TRS, LLC, where his dedication and work ethic were evident to all.
In addition to his professional life, Daniel was a man of great faith and community spirit. He was a devoted servant of God and volunteered his time at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He also contributed to the Halo Flight Association and organized numerous benefits to assist those in need within his community. Daniel's willingness to lend a hand and his infectious smile endeared him to many; he was known for his BBQ skills and his generous heart, always ready to share a meal and a laugh with anyone around.
Daniel shared a profound love with his wife, Elvira T. Guevara. They were married for 20 beautiful years, but their journey together spanned 28 years, filled with shared dreams, family milestones, and unwavering support for one another. Together they built a loving home, nurturing a family that flourished under their care.
Daniel is survived by his grieving wife, Elvira, and their cherished children: Bianca (Mark) Almaguer, Teresa Hernandez, Diana (Steve) Cabrera, SanJuanita (Miguel) Jimenez, and Robert Esparza. Additionally, he leaves behind his father, Jesus Guevara Sr., and siblings Delia (Martin) Ortiz and Jesus (Hilda) Guevara Jr. Daniel's legacy continues through his numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
A funeral service to celebrate Daniel's life will be held on December 17, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Guardian Funeral Home in Corpus Christi. Friends and family are invited to gather and share in the memories of a man who was a beacon of light in their lives. While Daniel may have departed from this world, his spirit and the love he shared will continue to resonate in the lives he touched. He will be profoundly missed but never forgotten, as his legacy of kindness, laughter, and community service lives on in the countless hearts he warmed. Rest in peace, dear Daniel.
