Daniel Lee Barrientez, Sr. passed away October 22, 2018 at the age of 62.
He was born in Sacramento, California to his loving parents Louie and Velia Barrientez on July 24, 1956. Daniel graduated from McCollum High School in San Antonio, Texas in the Class of 1974. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Following his military service, he transitioned into civil service, dedicating his time to the Corpus Christi Army Depot, where he worked as a Sheet Metal Engineer for Helicopters. The legacy of Daniel's kind spirit, passion for motorcycles, love of knowledge, and zest for life will live on through his loving family and friends.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Louie Jimenez Barrientez and Velia Vasquez Barrientez; and his sister Christine (Tina) Barrientez.

Daniel leaves behind, to cherish his memories, his devoted wife Mary Alice Barrientez; his children: Daniel Lee Barrientez, Jr. (Amber), Brianna Lee Barrientez, Jeremy L. Sandoval, Leilah J. Hernandez (Isaac), and Marcus A. Sandoval; his grandchildren: Anthony, Azia, Ysabella, Lucas, Jeremy, Gabriela, and Mia; his brothers; Anthony Barrientez, Sr. (Blanche), David Barrientez (Carol), Joe Barrientez (Margie), Louie Barrientez (Rose), Kenneth Barrientez, and Michael Barrientez; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Public visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, October 27, with a Holy Rosary and Chapel Service to begin at 11:30 a.m. at Guardian Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 30 at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
