Dan Lee Schumann, 59, peacefully passed away on March 23, 2022 surrounded by his wife, Shannon; sister Donna (David); and sons: Ryan (Becca) and Randy.

Dan graduated from Ray High School and pursued a career in the HVAC field. Dan eventually owned his own HVAC company. He completed his career working for CCISD as a facilities maintenance foreman.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leroy & Carole whom he loved very much and missed every day. Dan chased his dreams and lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed playing golf, baseball and racing cars. He and his father raced all over South Texas together for many years. There wasn't a problem that he couldn't solve and was known to be a Mr. Fix It; willing to help anyone in need. Dan was instrumental in helping to build GracePoint Church in Portland. TX and loved to volunteer there.

Dan's biggest challenge was the diagnosis of ALS in 2019. His faith never wavered and he spent as much time as he could with his family and friends during his illness.

Celebration of Life Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at GracePoint Portland Church 4755 Wildcat Dr.
