Obituary

Cynthia Marie Carpenter Rodriguez was born on Thursday, September 22, 1949, to Sam J. Carpenter and Helen Dorothy Bertram Carpenter.  Cynthia was called home to our Lord to rest eternally, on Thursday, December 17, 2020.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Helen Carpenter, her paternal grandparents, John and Anita Carpenter, and her maternal grandparents, William and Maria Bertram, her loving sister Annie Daisy Carpenter Mainero (Bobby), and her loving nephew Michael Rene Rosas Jr.  Cynthia is survived by her son, Johnny Rodriguez Jr. (Isabel) and four grandchildren, John Andrew, Juan, Damian and Gabriella, and two great grandchildren, Rosabella and John Andrew Rodriguez Jr., her brother Sam Carpenter (Gloria), her sisters Mary Jean Pena (Martin), JoAnn Horn (Fred), and her sister Joyce Cereceres (Antonio), and numerous nieces and nephews who adored their Tia Cynthia. Cynthia is also survived by her lifelong partner of 32 years, Marty Guzman and their 4 beautiful and loving companion dogs, Milley, Kilo Pupcake, Jellie and Moochie.

Cynthia was straight-shooting loving, and kind. She was a free spirited, fun loving person that always did things "her way". When she loved you, she loved you with all of her heart. Her family and her pets meant the world to her. She loved the sun, the beach, music, cooking and her "QVC" Network. Everyday was a new adventure for her, awaiting the items she had purchased, of some newest gadget for her kitchen to arrive, from QVC and Amazon. She shared these gifts with friends and family alike, it was her way of showing her love for you, and sharing her stories about new recipes, new gadgets, and just spending time with you.

The beautiful smile that was always present on her face, despite all of the physical pain she was in, and her beautiful contagious laugher, will always leave a lasting impression on each and everyone one of our hearts and souls. She will be missed by so many, and will be loved forever and always!

There will be a Holy Rosary recited on Monday January 11th at Guardian Funeral Home at 10am with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11am at S.S. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Burial will be scheduled for 12pm at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
