It is with very heavy hearts we announce our beautiful and joyful Crystal Shannon Walker, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend passed away unexpectedly on Sunday November 7, 2021 at the age of 52.

She was born in New Braunfels, TX on August 23, 1969 to Dennis Brinkkoeter and Mary Darlene Shepherd. She met and connected with her soulmate, Keith Walker, during spring break 1985 on Mustang Island. A few months later they discovered they both attended Johnston High School in Austin and they were together ever since, marrying on May 29, 1987.

Crystal loved being outdoors, playing games and spending time with her family & friends. She was an animal lover and one was likely to find her home filled with her beloved pets. We will deeply cherish our memories with and of her and are beyond grateful to have had her in our lives for the time we did. She is survived by her husband Keith Walker, son Justin Walker, daughter Ashley Telshaw, granddaughter Vanessa Walker, mother Mary Shepherd, father Dennis Brinkkoeter, father-in-law Joe Walker, mother-in-law Shirley Walker, sister Jessie Brinkkoeter, brother Levi Brinkkoeter, brother Eli Parman and so many others who loved her dearly.

A gathering and memorial service will be held at the Mesquite Pavilion at Lake CC State Park (23194 Park Rd 25, Mathis, TX 78368) on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 2pm.

Park officials recommend carpooling and buying day passes early to help ensure access. Though each person has to purchase their own day pass, we will reimburse you when there.
