C ornelio H. Lugo, born April 26, 1948 and passed away August 11, 2020. He was a beloved Father, Brother and Vietnam Veteran. Cornelio served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded a Purple Heart.

He is preceded in death by his parents Marcelo and Tomasa Lugo and one sister Tomasa L. Garcia. He is survived by one son Cornelio Antonio  and Leticia Lugo, daughters Elizabeth Lugo, Monica Lugo and Virgil, Veronica L. and Gabriel Gonzalez, sisters Marcelina and Pete Martinez, Paula L. and Jim Daniel, Linda L. and Juan Rodriguez, Brothers Marcelo H. Lugo and Rosie, Rito H. Lugo, Samuel H. Lugo and Yolanda, Hector H. Lugo and Virginia, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Public visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Guardian Funeral Home, a Chapel Service will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. with Full Military Honors to be rendered at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
