Consuelo C. Romano (Aunt Connie) passed away November 27, 2014. She was born on October 17, 1925 in Corpus Christi, Tx. A lifelong resident of Corpus Christi,Tx. Was married forty years to Leopoldo Romano, Jr. at the time of his death in October of 2002. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Juan and Juana Castillo, sister and brother-in-law, Manuela (Manuel) Ybanez, brother and sister-in-law Eszkiel (Lupe) Lopez. Aunt Connie is survived by many nieces and nephews, but two were raised in the same home with her, Oscar Ybanez and Sarah Ybanez Delgado. While Aunt Connie and uncle Polo had no children they were the perfect example of what a loving parent could and should be, caring, giving, and loving. At lease three generation of nieces and nephews will deeply miss her presence and will always cherish her memory. Aunt Connie retired from Memorial Medical Center after forty-two years of service as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. We entrust her to the Lord on the sure knowledge that all things work together for the good of those who love God. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Guardian funeral home chapel B with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic church 710 S. 19th. All services will conclude at that time.
