Consuelo Díaz passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 1, 2021.

She survived by her daughter Maria Chirino; grandsons: Francisco(+) (Michelle) Campos, Ricardo (Jessica) Gallegos; granddaughter: Sarai Chirino and also with her great-granddaughters: Natalie Campos and Genesis Gallegos)

She was born in Nuevo León, Mexico to her parents Juan Diaz and Emilia Martinez on August 31, 1929.
When she grew up, Consuelo was married to Alfredo Gallegos and raised her children, Rosa (Gallegos) Cantu, Alfredo Gallegos, Gabriela Gallegos, Maria (Gallegos) Chirino, Bardomiano Gallegos, and Rogelio Gallegos.

Later then she left to the United States to live with her daughter Maria. Although she left family behind, she made long term and family like friendships. Consuelo also had many nietos and bisnietos. On June 15, 1997 she decided to give her life to our Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized by Pastor Alfredo Gonzalez in Jesus name. She attended the Apostolic Assembly Templo de Esperanza church which Pastor Luis Garcia has been her pastor for the past 11 years. She loved walking to church and taking her daily walks around the block of Molina while she would enjoy looking at all the different gardens and watching the birds fly by.

Consuelo has always loved helping out with either baby sitting kids or cleaning the Nopales for her hermanas at church because, as we know she LOVED HER NOPALES. She would always go outside every morning to see how her flowers are doing and spend the day cleaning her garden or just hear her preaching / music while sewing. She had a very one of a kind loving humor with her family and friends. She always loved modeling her new wardrobe or she would make us laugh while we gathered as a family for her favorite game of Loteria.

Consuelo will be missed very much by her friends and most of all by her FAMILY. We THANK God for lending her to us for as long as he did.

Public Visitation will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021 at Apostolic Assembly Templo Esperanza de Vida 4550 Barrera Dr. , the celebration of life service will begin at 5:30 p.m. that evening.

All floral arrangements should be delivered to Guardian Funeral Home 5922 Crosstown by 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021.
