Consuelo Benavides, 81 was called to Heaven by our Lord and Savior on December 16, 2013. Connie spent her final day surrounded by family and friends whose lives she touched in some small way throughout her life. Consuelo was born on September 23, 1932, in Weslaco, Texas to Luis and Eusevia Lopez. She lived a long and prosperous life in Corpus Christi. She was a very loving mother, sister, wife, friend, and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred Benavides, sisters, Martha Lopez, Mickey Mercado, brothers, Jesse, Samuel and Gilbert Lopez, and son Louis Seals, Sr.

Consuelo is survived by her brother Rudy Lopez, sisters Manuela, Pauline, Frances, children Inez Adriano and fiancé Bert, Alfonso and Patricia Adriano, Carl and Cheryl Seals, Linda Seals. Grandchildren Robert Janosek, Daniel Martinez, Alfonso Adriano Jr., Tricia Reyna, Louis Seals, Dale Webster, Melissa Smith, Ricky, Danny, Damien and Kendra Seals, Scottie Sarate, Manuel Perez, Jose Perez and 30 great grandchildren.

She will always be our little grandma

Silly girl.... kisses!!!!!. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Wedneday, December 18, 2013 at Guardian funeral home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Guardian funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park
