Connie Speer was called home on June 14, 2021 at the grand age of 90.
She was born on January 23, 1931 to her parents Maria de Jesus Gonzalez and Modesto Barron.

Although it is impossible to sum up a wonderful life in only a few words; those who were close to Connie would describe her as bold, honest, and caring. She had a generous heart that had the desire to help anyone in need. She always had a way of keeping you in line; she provided her family with firm love, strength and stability. Connie certainly knew her way around the kitchen; she loved to partake in the rich meals she brought to life; Lalo recalls her famous fried chicken being his favorite dish. In her younger years she enjoyed the beauty of music; especially old country. On Monday nights you were likely to find Connie watching a good wrestling match; you dare not interrupt her during a WWE episode or you'd find yourself on the receiving end of her very honest opinion. The love which she blessed us with will live on for generations to come.

Connie joins now in heaven her husband: Calvin Speer; granddaughter: Brandi; great-grandson: Nikolas; mom: Maria de Jesus Gonzalez; dad Modesto Barron; siblings: Esiquiel Martinez, Maria Barron, Aurelio Barron, Rey Barron, Santiago Barron.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, son: Lalo (Ninfa) Speer; grandchildren: Edward (Crystal), Ronda (Luis), Marlene (Waldo), Jessica (Raul); great-grandchildren: Luciano, Zoey, Yesenia, Yasmin, Aidan, Aubrey, Jaydon, Sophia, Hasia, Layla, Andy, Rayven, Raul; great-great-grandson: Jedidiah; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved.

Public Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel B with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Seaside Memorial Park.
