IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Clemente Sauceda,
Sr.
November 23, 1936 – January 1, 2023
Clemente Sauceda, Sr. completed his earthly journey on January 1, 2023 at the age of 86. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
Clemente was born on November 23, 1936 in Rio Hondo, Texas to his parents Guadalupe and Virginia Sauceda.
A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend is now at rest. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, perseverance, laughter and love. Always with a smile on his face and a joke on his lips he brought joy and light to everyone; some would say he never met a stranger. At his core, he took great pride in being the patriarch of his family; ensuring they were always well provided for and taken care of. He had a way of always making his mark whether it was engraving his name on his wallet or painting his tools blue; this way you knew what was his! A perfect day for Clemente would be gathered around with his entire family making priceless memories. To say he was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros fan is an understatement; he was blessed to watch the Astros play with his sons and grandsons; an experience of a lifetime as he put it. There will never be enough words to describe what a wonderful man that he was to so many, but we rest assured knowing these memories and lessons will live on for generations to come.
Clemente is joined now in heaven by his parents Guadalupe and Virginia Sauceda; brother Ramon Sauceda; sisters: Guadalupe Sanchez, Julia Hinojosa, Juanita Romo, and Catalina Salinas.
He leaves behind to cherish these memories, his beloved wife of 62 years Maria Sauceda; 8 children: Clemente Sauceda, Jr. (Melissa), Jesus (Esmer) Sauceda, Mary Ann (Valentin) Caballero, San Juanita (Chris) Garcia, Martha (Mitch) Caballero, Virginia "Gina" (Hector) Salazar, Ricardo Sauceda, Robert Sauceda; sister Maria Vargas; 20 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he loved.
The family will begin gathering at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Guardian Hall, 5813 Ayers St., with the Memorial Service to start at 1:00 p.m. that afternoon with a reception to follow.
