Clemens Aram
Struve, M.D
September 29, 1929 – August 18, 2022
Clemens Aram Struve, M.D., passed away August 18th, 2022, surrounded by family.
He was born in Campbellton, Texas September 29, 1929, to Guido Louis and Alice Eloise Sisk Struve.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Joseph Daniel Struve, his sisters: Frida Ellen Struve Milone and Marjorie Struve Powell.
He graduated from the University of Texas in 1950 with honors earning a degree in Liberal Arts then attended and graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas earning his M.D. in 1954. He was in the US Navy from 1954-1957 where he held the rank of Lieutenant Commander and was a flight surgeon and the Senior Medical Officer at Midway Island in the Pacific. He then practiced Ophthalmology in Corpus Christi from 1961 until retiring in 1999. As an M.D., he held numerous positions throughout his years in the medical community. He was a past President of the Nueces County Medical Society and the Texas Ophthalmological Association. He was also a member of the Southside Rotary Club of Corpus Christi.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 47 years Cynthia, and their children Frank A Struve, Cindy A Struve Hach, Paul A Struve, and John L Struve. Two older children by a previous marriage Steve D Struve and Joe A Struve, as well as 6 grandchildren, Forrest, Page, Evan, Alexis, Madison, and Sophia along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
His ashes will be placed in the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi on September 29, 2022 at 2pm.
