Christina Marie Hollensbe went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on October 15, 2021 in the company of her mother , her mother-in-law , and her loving husband of 16 years. She was born on July 2,1975 to Luis Garcia Sr. and Rachel Koch in Pasadena , Texas. Christina was the oldest of three children and grew up surrounded by the love of her caring grandmother and aunt s .
Christina attended Houston Baptist University where she met the love of her life John H ollensbe . She graduated with dual majors in Business and Art in 200 3 . Christina and John were u nited in marriage in Houston , Texas on May 2 1 , 2005. The couple traveled across the country on m any a dventures and finally settled in the home o f her dreams in Corpus Christi , Texas. Christina was a beautiful woman both inside and out . S he enjoyed bringing b eauty to her home and launched a home décor business to share her artistic touch . Her creativity was expressed in her home decorating, cooking, and gift giving . She used her gifts and talents to show her love to her friends and family and to serve her community. Christina had a heart for serving in ministry and helping troubled women. She was a Christian author a nd public speaker . Christina lived by the words Jesus spoke according to Matthew 22:37 that the greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind .
Christina is survived by her husband John H ollensbe , her mother Rachel Koch ( husband La wrence ) , her father Luis Garcia Sr. , her brothers: Noe Garcia (wife Clancey ) and Luis Garcia (wife Edeniz ) , stepsister Erica Havlik (husband Mike) , stepbrother Marshall Koch, her grandmother Caroline Tamayo , her uncles and aunts: Trinidad Tamayo, Amelia Ruiz, Andres Ruiz, Dolores Garcia, Omar Garcia, Frances Tamayo, Lupe Tyler, Leo Tyler, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Living as a Proverbs 31 woman, she brought great pride to loved ones who say of her , "She loved, she forgave and never gave up hope. Well done!"
Public Visitation in Corpus Christi, Texas will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel A; with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 6:00 p.m. that evening.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 p . m . on Thursday , October 21, 2021 at Rosewood Funeral Home at 22271 I -59 North in Porter, Texas . T he funeral service will begin at 2:00 p . m . followed by an on-site b urial ceremony.
