Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Christina Diamond Ann Duran, who left this world on August 30, 2025, at the young age of 25. Born on January 5, 2000, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Christina was a radiant soul whose vibrant spirit and unwavering love touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Christina lived her early years in Corpus Christi, where she attended Holy Family Catholic School and later graduated from Tuloso High School. Her education was a foundation that nurtured her bright, bubbly personality—qualities that defined her throughout her life. Christina was unapologetically herself, embracing her uniqueness with confidence and charm that drew people toward her. She had an extraordinary gift for making others feel seen and loved, and her honesty and warmth were qualities that made her truly special.

Christina's greatest joy was her family. As a devoted mother, she poured her heart into raising her two children, Deniro Duran and Gracie Duran, instilling in them the values of love, kindness, and resilience. Her commitment to her family was unparalleled. Whether it was through her delicious home-cooked meals that brought everyone together or the laughter-filled moments at the beach, she created a home filled with warmth and love.

Faith was the foundation of Christina's life. No matter what she faced, she never lost her trust in God. Through every joy and hardship, Christina's love for Him remained unshaken. She leaned on her faith for strength, finding comfort and courage in His presence. Her relationship with God guided her every step and gave her hope even in the darkest moments. Christina's unwavering devotion was a shining example to her family, and we find peace in knowing she is now held safely in His eternal embrace.

In addition to being a nurturing mother, Christina had a passion for gardening, finding peace in nurturing her plants and watching them grow. Gardening was more than just a hobby; it was an extension of her nurturing nature and desire to cultivate beauty in her surroundings. Her legacy will be remembered in the lush gardens she tended and the memories she created with her loved ones.

Christina was surrounded by a loving family, including her mother, Gracie Soto; her sisters, Patricia (Benjamin) Rios, Andrea Duran, and Maria Gonzales; her brothers, Carlos Duran, Jesus Duran, Anthony Duran, and Tony Soto; and her grandparents, Carlos and Maria Soto. She also leaves behind her niece, Aubree Alaniz, and her nephew, Romeo Rios. She was preceded in death by her dear uncle Tony Soto, great-grandfather Cecilio Gonzalez, great-grandmother Vicenta Gonzalez, great-grandmother Patricia Soto, great-grandfather Baldemar Soto, and her uncle Cecilio Gonzalez Jr. Each of these losses weighed heavily on Christina, yet she carried their memories with her, celebrating their lives through her own.

The impact of Christina's life and her legacy of love will forever be felt by her family. Her beautiful spirit, filled with laughter, joy, and faith, will continue to inspire those who knew her. As we mourn the loss of our beloved Christina, we also celebrate the incredible life she led. Her memories will forever remain in our hearts, a shining light guiding us through our darkest days.

A celebration of Christina's life will be held privately for immediate family only, where we will gather to share stories, laughter, and love in honor of her extraordinary journey.

Rest in peace, dear Christina. Your love, light, and faith will be missed but never forgotten
