IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles Cecil
Starcher
November 17, 1962 – November 26, 2021
Charles Cecil Starcher, age 59, passed away quietly at his Portland, Texas home on November 26, 2021. Cecil had just celebrated his birthday surrounded by his loving family and beloved dog Marley. Cecil was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to his parents Beatrice Hernandez and Charles Larry Starcher.
Cecil attended and played baseball, as a phenomenal catcher for Southwest University, Northwest Institute and University of Texas Pan American. Cecil went on to achieve his law degree from the University of Arkansas in 1990 and would remain a staunch Razorback. Cecil's devotion to his high school alma mater, The Gregory-Portland Wildcats continued throughout his lifetime and became stronger when his son's Ryan and Steven wore the Wildcat red, white and blue with same intensity as their father, Cecil.
Cecil's career as a criminal defense attorney spanned 31 years in practice, The Starcher Law Firm, also as a partner in the 102 Law Firm. In his spare, time he enjoyed golfing, baseball, playing poker, weekends at the ranch hunting with friends, annual friend/family trips to the Frio making memories and especially cheering on his favorite teams: Razorbacks, Astros and Cowboys, betting and the number game at lunch. Most of all, he loved the time spent with his beloved granddaughter Camilla.
Our hearts are heavy as we bid farewell to our devoted husband, proud father, doting PoPo, esteemed criminal defense attorney and a loyal friend. His legacy will live on for generations to come, through his family and attorneys he mentored.
Cecil leaves behind to cherish his memories, wife of 24 years, Linda Starcher, children: Alyssa (Christopher) Buenrostro, Charles Ryan Starcher and Charles Steven Starcher, grand-daughter, his pride and joy Camilla Buenrostro, his fur babies Marley and Coby; Sisters, Danel (Mario) Mejia, Dawn Harchenko, along with numerous nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, countless friends and his legal family at the 102 Law Office.
