Charles "Duke" Salinas passed away peacefully surrounded by Family on Sunday, December 18, 2022.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Seberiano G. & Frances E. Salinas and four siblings.
Charles is survived by his loving wife Rena Griffin; his Children: Sonja Salinas (Abraham), Candice Salinas,
Christine Hinojosa (Albert), Christopher Salinas (Veronica) and Frances Raymond whom he considered as a second Son; Stepchildren: Marcella Griffin, Travis Baumann & Dane Baumann (Nalani);
Grandchildren: Nathan, Mikey, Marissa, Nicholas, Christian, Chris Jr., Krystal, Christy, Jaiden, Makayla, Aiden, Alyssa, Mya, Braylen, Aiden and Dakston along with four siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.
Charles was born on February 19,1952 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Charles was a skilled Electrician by trade and got his start at Haley Electric and went on to Budd Electric
as well as several other e
lectric companies throughout Corpus Christi, retiring from Glenn's Electric.
Even in retirement, he continued to mentor others in the field.
Charles was with the love of his life Rena for 30+ years.
He enjoyed spending time with his Family, which included Sunday dinners, Holidays, Birthdays,
Family Barbeques, Fishing and annual camping trips to the River.
He had a love for animals of all kinds and was always taking in strays.
Charles kept active and was always willing to lend a helping hand to Family & Friends and was a great Teacher. Anyone who knew Charles knew that he did not like to be fussed over, he would rather give than receive.
Charles was a loving Husband, Father, Grandpa, Papa & Friend.
He loved nothing more than to be laughing, joking and always had a smile on his face.
Charles will be dearly missed and forever loved.
His Family will be having a private Celebration of Life.
