Obituary
Charles O. Burt passed Tuesday October 30, 2018 at the age of 79. He is the only son born to Frank Lee and Dola C. Collard Burt on September 12th, 1939 in Alice, Texas. Chuck was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He attended Forrest Park Baptist Church where he found his love for baseball. He attended Miller High School and received his GED after joining the service where he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, sister, 2 brother-in-laws, and a nephew. I can just imagine that they are enjoying a game of 42.
Chuck leaves behind, to cherish his memories, his wife, Teddy, of 48 years; 2 sisters: Patsy and Perry Mueller, Ted and Shirley Eaton; 7 wonderful kids: Dola, Jeff, Brian, Mickie, Tammy, Mike, and Sheri; 13 awesome grand-kids; one being Josh who was raised by Chuck and Teddy since infancy and was considered a son; 15 smart great grand-kids that were the light of his life; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A committal service with Military Honors will be held at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, date and time will be published once available.
In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
