Obituary

Charles "Chuck" was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan on March 4,1947. His parents were Rose and Charles. He had one sister, Deborah (Debbie), and was raised with many family members who were close. He moved to upper Michigan where family owned a bar. He learned to hunt and fish while he was young. His parents died when he was a teenager, and he returned to Mt. Clemens to live with his grandparents,Agnes and Charles, and his aunt and uncle, Millie and Bob.

Upon graduating from high school, Chuck entered the Army, where he became a medic and spent three tours in Vietnam. While in Vietnam, he visited many Countries in that part of the world. While stationed in El Paso Texas, he met his wife of 47 years, Barbara and together they had one son, Shaun. He also was stationed in Hawaii, Germany and Oklahoma.  Upon retirement, Chuck and his family settled in Colorado Springs, CO. He was active in Scouting with his son, and enjoyed fishing and hunting as well. He later moved to Wyoming and stayed until winters became too much, at which point he became a "Winter Texan" and moved to Corpus Christi, TX. Chuck enjoyed many things in life, friends, food, family and fishing.

He is survived by many family members.  His wife, Barbara; son, Shaun; sister, Debbie; and nephew, Andy; grandchildren, Lawrence, Colby, Aaron, Kollin, Hunter, and Ariel; and many more family and friends. Chuck has truly been blessed in his journey thru life to have met many people and done many things.

Many people will try to call him a hero, but he would tell you "no, I was just answering my country's call."  He will be missed.
