Charles Edward Casarez sadly passed away on February 3, at the age of 74. He was born February 21st,1950 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents Louis Casarez Sr. and Amparo Casarez, brothers Louis Casarez Jr. and John Richard Casarez all of Corpus Christi.

He is survived by brothers Julius (Tiny) (Ida) Casarez and Michael Casarez. Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A proud veteran of the US Army, Charles served a tour in Vietnam. He also worked for the US Postal Service.

Charles character, although difficult to describe, was indeed authentic. True to oneself, honest and straightforward. With faith and hope Charles confronted difficult situations in his life with courage. He was kind, generous, witty and lived his life to the fullest. He truly did it his way and he will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Tuesday, February 11, 2025, visitation will be held at Guardian Funeral Home from 10-12 p.m. with burial to follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00p.m.
